About Jumbo Rocks Campground — Joshua Tree NP
Surrounded by massive Mojave rock formations and the park's signature twisted Joshua Trees, Jumbo Rocks is one
of the best stargazing campsites in California. Boulders the size of houses create natural wind breaks and
playground-like terrain.

Directions & How to Get There
From Palm Springs: Take I-10 E to CA-62 N through Twentynine Palms, then south into the park at the north
entrance, approximately 1.5 hours. From Los Angeles: Take I-10 E to CA-62 N, approximately 2.5 hours. Inside the
park, follow Pinto Basin Road south to Jumbo Rocks.

Insider Tips
- No water available in the park — bring all your own water
